Youth Athlete Form Session — The Balanced Runner

Training is just one piece of the equation when it comes to improving as a runner. Running technique, or “form” is often overlooked and misunderstood as one of the most important aspects of running, and something we believe our youth athletes should be coached on at a young age.

Therefore, we’re providing the opportunity to work with Paul Mackinnon, The Balanced Runner.

Paul is a professional running technique coach from Melbourne, Australia, who works with professionals worldwide.

Paul’s form instruction will help our youth athletes develop proper technique habits at a young age, helping them run more efficiently, stay healthier, and enjoy the sport of running!

45 minute Group Session - Limited to 20 athletes per session

  • Session 1: Friday, Oct. 24th, 5:30-6:15pm

  • Session 2: Sunday, Oct. 26th, 10:30-11:15am

*Limited to Athletes ages 10+

*Athletes can select EITHER Session 1 or 2. (They are the same lesson)

“Paul’s philosophy focuses on key cues and small changes to technique over time to get you running faster, while using less energy. The focus is on making sure the whole body is in balance and alignment to get the most forward propulsion with the least amount of excess movement. This is achieved through a series of easy to understand cues which give immediate benefit, and can be further refined and worked on over time.”
