Michael joined the BTC Masters team in 2016 and has been an integral part of the M50 Team’s success since his first race at Portland Meadows. Running wasn’t always Michael’s first athletic love though. As a youngster, he dreamed of playing professional tennis. When that didn’t work out, Michael took a 30 year sabbatical from sports raising his children, working, and sitting behind a desk. To reignite the competitive fire, he jumped feet first into training, running races and then joining the BTCM ranks. Michael does a fair bit of training on his own, but enjoys it. However on race day, he is the consummate team guy. Michael was a member of the M50 that finished 6th at the USATF Club Cross-Country Nationals meet in Tallahassee, FL in December 2016.
