Bowerman Track Club is looking for one talent in the creative space for a 6-week opportunity this summer in Oregon, USA. This is an in-person role. Please apply only if you are available and willing to travel to Oregon from June 18 to July 28, 2024. You must be 21+ and be eligible to legally work in the US. No Visa Sponsorship is available for this role. Applications close April 4 at 11:59pm EST.

ABOUT BOWERMAN TRACK CLUB

The Bowerman Track Club, supported by Nike, is composed of a world class professional team, a national level elite team, a competitive youth and masters division, and Bowerman Athlete Members around the world. The club supports a diverse and inclusive community of runners as they pursue their dreams on the track, roads, trails and grass. The club aims to grow the sport of running through its events, camps and community outreach.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you inspired about changing the game of distance running and believe you have the creative tools to make it happen? Do you get excited about capturing the best athletes in the world, bringing ideas to life, and storytelling the power of community?

Does making lifelong friends, memories and working hard (and sometimes long days) with a close-knit team in a start-up environment fire you up?

If any of the above are true, then the Digital Media Intern role at BTC may just be for you! Join our team and utilize your photo & video skills to deliver amazing content for the world to see.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Capture, edit and deliver all photo + video content throughout three primary events: Olympic Trials, Bowerman Summer Camp, and the Bowerman 5k

  • Work closely with the Brand team to ensure content strategy and deliverables are clear

  • Assist in social media strategy and creative brainstorming for The Road to Paris, Bowerman Athlete Membership, and all facets encompassing BTC

  • Focus on creating content that connects us with our primary audience (bonus points for creating new audiences, too!)

  • Use post-production techniques to adjust colors, lighting, and other elements to make our content awesome

  • Our team functions with start-up energy. Your ideas will be implemented and we’ll sometimes ask you to help out with tasks outside of content creation.

  • Assist in organizing and managing media assets, ensuring efficient file management and project organization

  • Use creative and technical knowledge to constantly elevate our content

  • Stay up-to-date with trends in the running world in order to advance our media presence

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • This role has a ton of freedom and flexibility and will work directly with the Media Manager

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 

  • Experience with a professional camera

  • Advanced knowledge using the Adobe Suite

  • Proficient in photo editing

  • Proficient in video editing (or plans to learn)

  • Interest in graphic design, logo artwork, and/or illustration (a plus)

  • A passion for community, culture or competition (or all three!)

  • Experience shooting sports (running is a plus)

  • Maturity in handling multiple projects with tight deadlines

  • Understanding of post-production workflows and the ability to turn photos around quickly

  • Has a passion for storytelling through video and a keen eye for visual aesthetics

  • Excited to learn, support a growing club, and contribute to something big

  • Solid organizational and multitasking skills

  • A self-starter who is confident in their skill of organizing their workflow

  • Is an idea-generator and also supports the ideas of others
