Stephanie Spiak

Stephanie began running as a speedster on the track dominating the 100 & 200 meter dashes and anchoring the 4x100 relay.  Her track days came to an end in the late 80’s due to surgery on both feet. After a 20+ year sabbatical from running, she was challenged by a friend to join her in a half marathon. She loved the idea of reaching a once-thought unachievable goal. Since her first half in May of 2013, she has completed over 25 half-marathons and numerous other races including 3 full marathons, 2 ultra-marathons and several trail races. In 2016 Stephanie was the overall winner of the Scary Run in Washougal, WA. She has found a great balance between training, a career as a hairdresser and raising 4 children. Stephanie loves to post-run fuel on a sweet potato and believes being athletic with a running lifestyle serves as a great inspiration to her children and to those around her.
