KC Taylor


 
 

KC is a life long runner who ran for South Eugene class of ’74 with PRs of 1:59 and 4:34. He had no college running experience but from age 29 to 37 he broke 2 minutes in the 800 meters at the all-comers meet at Hayward  Field each year but one. He calls himself a good utillity runner: can play any position in the fieldor run well at any distance. His big break out as a Masters runner was 2012 at age 56 when he ran 17:20, 36:03, 59:39 for 10 miles and a 1:20:02 for a half-marathon.  In his words, “Running is so much more to me than the times and numbers, it’s really helped shape the man I am today.”
